For well over ten years I have had the opportunity to work with SG Construction on projects from modernizations to complex alteration and new construction involving phasing, difficult site conditions and tight time frames. In all cases SG Construction exceeded my expectations and did so in ways that ensured the school’s schedule and budget goals were met…Once selected (unanimously) by the selection committee, SG Construction set out to help us with the constructability review and cost estimating.

To say that this 3 month modernization was a Herculean task would be an understatement. I remain convinced at this time, 2 weeks prior to occupancy that no other construction firm in the Bay Area could have handled such a task and pulled it off successfully. I have become fond of calling SG Construction the “Seal Team 6” of construction and would recommend them without qualification.

SG Construction has been more than a developer in the Hoover Elementary project—they have acted as a true partner. The president, vice president of operations, project manager and superintendent at SG Construction all rolled up their sleeves and sought solutions instead of sidestepping substantial complications.

I’ve had the privilege to work with SG Construction since 2012, during which time they have provided an excellent team of well-established and experienced professionals. Their work on the La Tercera Elementary School Modernization Project was outstanding, as was their level of professionalism, attentiveness, attitude and performance. Their ability to perform under budget and ahead of schedule, which is virtually unheard of during a fast track summer schedule, was remarkable.
